Who is this for?

For teachers dedicated to a higher standard of learning looking to deepen their knowledge.
  • You want to be a well equipped Vinyasa (flow) teacher: You practice it (or not) and love it and want to know more. Great! The logic and art of Vinyasa Yoga, moving with the breath is one of the most sort after skills in modern Yoga.

  • You just love yoga and want to go deeper into a Vinyasa practice. Right On! You're covered here too. With the combined training, reading and discussion and interactive opportunities to learn, you'll get to really experience the Vinyasa tradition.

  • You want to start (or continue) building toward your 300hr teaching certificate! Amazing, this can be your starting place!

What We'll Do - The Curriculum:

  • Daily morning meditation & Vinyasa practice

  • Discuss at length what Vinyasa yoga is - history & context

  • Study in detail the logic & art of & sequencing and posture transition

  • Look at how to design solid Vinyasa classes

  • Look at key skills to teaching effective Vinyasa flow classes

  • Analyze progressive teaching - Vinyasa for different levels

  • Examine different styles/methods of Vinyasa class from the philosophical to the more practical

 

There will be:

  • Learning, laughter and some sweat

  • Teaching practicum with real-time feedback

There won't be:

  • An exam

 

Teaching Methodology - Lots of fun! Through fun we:

  • Establish your teaching voice

  • Look at intros to & closing of professional classes


Prerequisites:

  • If you want to earn a 50hr certificate, you should have an existing 200hr (or equivalent) qualification. Please inquire for more details explaining your background.

  • If you are not looking for a certificate, we suggest you should have an existing regular yoga practice of at least one year.

7am - 9am Meditation & Practice

10 am - 1pm Theory & Philosophy

2pm - 5pm Teaching/Practice Theory & Practicum

5pm - 6pm Closing Practice
