WHAT IS CHINESE HERBAL MEDICINE?

Chinese Herbal Medicine is one of the main branches of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), a system refined over thousands of years to restore balance and promote the body’s natural healing capacity.

Each herbal formula is an elegant blend of roots, barks, flowers, and minerals chosen for your unique presentation. Rather than offering one-size-fits-all remedies, I prescribe a carefully personalised formula that addresses both the symptoms and the underlying causes of imbalance — supporting your body to recover and thrive.

WHAT CAN HERBS HELP WITH?

Chinese Herbal Medicine is used worldwide, both independently and alongside acupuncture or conventional medicine. It can benefit a wide range of conditions, including:

  • Digestive issues (IBS, bloating, acid reflux)

  • Skin conditions (eczema, acne, psoriasis)

  • Respiratory problems (asthma, chronic coughs, allergies)

  • Gynaecological and hormonal balance (PMS, menstrual irregularities, fertility support, menopause)

  • Auto-immune and inflammatory conditions

  • Fatigue, stress, anxiety, and sleep issues

  • Support during recovery or chronic illness

Herbal medicine works gently yet deeply, helping to nourish and rebalance the body over time for lasting wellness.

Clinically Supervised Practice

I am presently in my clinical years as a herbalist. Your herbal treatment is clinically supervised by the UK's top Chinese Herbal Practitioners, ensuring every formula is reviewed for suitability, safety, and effectiveness. This structure allows you to benefit from individualised (and price-efficient) care with professional oversight at every stage.

All consultations are conducted online remotely, making it convenient and accessible wherever you are.

THEORY

Practice - Theory - Teach

Nurturing Deep Breath - Theory & Practice

Breath is at the center of the QiGong practice (Qi could refer to the energy of the breath). I will guide you on what healthy breath is and guide you through progressive practices on deepening your breath, your lung volume and your lung efficiency.

Qi & 3 Treasure Theory

What is Qi? Learn practical and very different tools for physical, mental and emotional (energetic) health.

Variable Anatomy For Dynamic Poses

Learn how to adapt the basic shapes of QiGong for your and your student's unique anatomy. We all have different shapes, proportions, and orientation of hard bones in our body. No alignment dogma, no guru dynamics. Healing is about the Qi, not the look.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Your treatment begins with a detailed online video consultation where we discuss your current health, medical history, diet, and lifestyle. Using classical diagnostic methods such as pattern and tongue analysis, I form a picture of your overall constitution.

Based on this assessment, I design a bespoke combination of herbs – anywhere from 5 to 20 ingredients – to target your particular needs. The formula is prepared by a licensed herbal pharmacy in the UK or mainland Europe to ensure safety, quality, and accurate dosing. Herbs are dispensed as concentrated granules that are easy to prepare and take as a warm tea.

As your health evolves, your formula can be adjusted to reflect improvements or changes in your condition.

A Natural Way to Restore Balance

Chinese Herbal Medicine offers more than symptom relief — it’s a holistic system focused on restoring harmony between body, mind, and environment. Whether you’re managing a long-term condition or simply seeking better energy and balance, herbal medicine can offer gentle and lasting support.

Set I
The 8 Brocades
(Ba Duan Jin - 八段錦)

One of the world's most famous sets practiced functionally. Learn the shape of each movement, then adapt it to your own body. We also learn the foundations of a QiGong practice.

SET IV
The 18 Luohan Skills
(Shi Ba Luo Han Gong -
十八羅漢功)

Based on the techniques of Sinew Metamorphosis attributed to Bodhidharma, the founder of the Chan (Zen) school of Buddhism.

According to legend, Bodhidharma taught three fundamental principles of Zen practice: seated meditation, QiGong, and mindful movement.  Sound familiar?

The exercises are more athletic and more dynamic, and they are terrific for cultivating strength, flexibility, and internal power.
