Yang Sheng —
A Living Practice of

Movement and Medicine

Resilience and Renewal through Chinese Medicine, QiGong, and Yoga

Hi, I'm Dhugal Meachem. At the heart of my work is a simple idea:
Practice is a way of learning to listen —
to your body, breath, and the rhythms that shape life.

For over 30 years, I’ve been exploring how the wisdom of QiGong & Yin Yoga, Chinese medicine, and naturalist Chinese philosophy can nourish our lives. When your body, breath, and awareness meet — healing arises naturally.

I'm your Yang Sheng (nurture life) guide as we practice QiGong & Yin. When you are sick I support you with Chinese Medicine. All so you can feel the power of movement and still, the energy of the universe flowing from and through you.

Practice as Orientation

I train and mentor in in Yang Sheng — the Chinese art of nourishing life. Practice here is not about performance or accumulation, but about learning how to live in relationship with change - in your body, in your mind, even in your soul.

It is an ancient art - so needed in a modern world.

Yin Yoga and Qigong are taught as cultivated practices: Yin Gong (stillness trained with care) and Yang Gong (movement trained with attention).

Over time, these become ways of surfing the wave of YOUR life rather than specific techniques you copy from me.

Living the Tao in Everyday Life

The way of practice is not about doing more. It’s about sensing when to move and when to be still, when to act and when to yield.

Each pause, each gesture, is an opportunity to return to the harmony that’s already present.
